Missionary Work

Read D&C 133:37 : Discuss the meaning of this scripture.

Heavenly Father wants his gospel to be spread throughout all the world. But He can’t do it alone.

What are the different ways that Heavenly Father spreads the gospel?

What ways can YOU help Heavenly Father spread the gospel?

 Be a friend

 Invite someone to church

 Invite friends to church activities

 Share your testimony

 Serve people around you

 Be a good example of righteous living

We need to be doing these things in order to help Heavenly Father spread the gospel.

Sometimes it can be hard to be a missionary. People may reject you, be mean to you, or just make you feel bad because of what you believe.

What should you do if this happens to you?

It is important to commit at a young age to go on a mission.  Discuss and commit to a future mission.

FHE_Headers_Activity

Role play missionary situations. A few situations you might role play are:

 You see a new student all alone on the playground. She looks sad.

 You have a good friend who is not LDS and she is having a bad day. She asks you what you do when you are feeling sad.

 You are on a soccer team. You make it to the championship game. Your coach announces that the final game is on a Sunday.

 A new family who are not members of the church move into the neighborhood.

 A friend from school asks if you can play on a Sunday.

 A friend asks you what Activity Days / Scouts is after overhearing a discussion about it.

 Someone in your class at school breaks their leg.

 A friend at school encourages you to cheat on a test.

 The ward missionaries stop by the house and ask if you know anyone who might be interested in their message.
